Dorothy Della Noce Prize- open for submissions until December 31, 2023

In memory of Dorothy J. Della Noce, the Institute for the Study of Conflict Transformation (ISCT) has established The Annual Dorothy J. Della Noce Prize for a written work that advances transformative theory or practice.  Dorothy Della Noce, who passed away in 2020, was a brilliant thinker and writer, and a key collaborator of Joseph Folger and Baruch Bush and many others.  Her work moved seamlessly across the arenas of research, theory and practice, showing how each one was connected to the others.  In addition, Dorothy translated her scholarship into practical methods for training mediators, co-authoring the materials that are used to train many hundreds of transformative mediators to this day.

The Della Noce Prize is intended to inspire others to contribute to the written literature on the transformative approach to conflict, whether in a scholarly journal, a practitioner publication, an online internet venue, or otherwise. Submissions can be scholarly or practice-oriented, and should be aimed at advancing the transformative approach as developed and furthered by the ISCT.  The Annual $500 prize will be chosen from works submitted to the ISCT, and evaluated by a committee composed of recognized scholars and writers on the transformative approach.

Anyone can offer a submission, whether the authors themselves or another person.  Submissions should be sent via email attachment to: admin@transformativemediation.org.  Any questions about form or content of submissions can also be sent to that address.

Deadline for submissions for the 2023 prize is December 31, 2023.
